The NSS and RRC units of Alpha Arts and Science College conducted an Orientation programme on orientation of youth on Aatma Nirbhar Bharath 2022 and Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav in association with Nehruyuva Kendra, Chennai Division in the college premises on March 5.
Dr.J.Sampath Kumar (Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Chennai) in his programme address oriented the youth by listing the various approaches to using gadgets for appropriate utility of the services of Government Departments in enhancing the skills during the coarse of their education.
Dr.Sivasankar Arumugam (Principal of Alpha Arts and Science College) presided over the
programme. The programme was organised under the patronage of  Dr.Grace George (Founder and Chairperson of Alpha Group of Institutions) and Suja George (Vice Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions) delivered the presidential address. Quoting Bharathi Dhasan’s Arivai Virivusei, Principal
emphasized that youth must acquire skills in addition to curricular knowledge.
The Programme officers Dr.K.Tamizharasi and Ashok Kumar impressed upon the youth the value of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and the commitment of the youth should have for the welfare of the community. They emphasized that the youth of today should realize that India could be made self reliant through implementation of plans like Aatmanirbhar Abhiyan to strengthen the nation’s economy .
Orientation Programme on Aatma Nirbhaar Bharath & Azadi KiAmritOmprakash (NYVV) thanked the Management, Principal and the NSS community for the Support and encouragement given to bring up the activities in the college for youth.
