Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Avigna Celeste celebrated its ninth annual day on Feb. 4 in its premises.
S. K. Durai Pandiyan (DSP, Chengalpattu) presided over the event. Prize Distribution was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. Prizes were given out to the students in both the academic and co-curricular categories. Dr. Uma Maheswari (Correspondent), Dr. Ganesan  (Principal) and Poornima Sundaram (Vice-Principal) were the other dignitaries present in the event.
The Annual day was woven around the theme Parinaam. Through the theme Parinaam the cultural programmes expressed the developmental change that includes evolution of the education system, women empowerment, metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly, the development of tamil film industry, music and dance over time. The lucid English play showcased the evolution of education from the ancient Gurukula to the futuristic idea of an AI school. The function also included a lively fusion dance. Along with the above described tangible ideas, flashy presentation was made of abstract ideas like how the cosmos developed after the Big Bang. Yet another abstract concept was the evolution of mind (from monkey to divine). Through a mime show, the pupils eloquently illustrated it. The crowd watched the three-hour-long cultural display in wonder.
Many parents visited the art- studio where the students paintings were exhibited.
 The sculpture room of the school was well appreciated by one and all. The school also has baby and big looms through which the school carries the rich culture and heritage of Mother India. The entire objective of having an annual day in the school is to create a harmonious connection of parents with the school and their children.
