Krishna Gana Sabha (Maharajapuram Santhana Salai, T.Nagar)\u00a0honoured senior theatre artiste, director and writer \u2018Appa\u2019 Ramesh, who has given over 7,500 stage appearances, with the Nataka Choodamani Award on May 2.
It also conferred the Iyakkunar Sigaram K. Balachander Award on theatre actor and historian Karthik Bhatt with 400 stage appearances. The awards were presented during the inauguration of the Sabha\u2019s Summer Theatre Fest that will feature nine plays during the weekends till May 24.\u00a0
