T. Vairamani, Differently abled Activist and State Deputy General Secretary of Tamilnadu\u00a0 Udavikkaram Association\u00a0 for the welfare of Differently abled (TNUAWDA) , Ashok Nagar has been retired from his\u00a0TNEB services,\u00a0as\u00a0Accounts Supervisor.\u00a0
A farewell party was organized\u00a0to Vairamani by the TNEB Staff, at K.K. Nagar\u00a0110KV EB\u00a0 Sub Station Office, K. K. Nagar. in which the\u00a0 Divisional Executive Engineer’s, Assistant Executive Engineer’s, AE’s and Staff of TNEB and\u00a0 State office bearers\u00a0 and members of\u00a0TNUAWDA participated and felicitated, appreciated the yeomen\u00a0services of Vairamani\u00a0and honoured\u00a0him.\u00a0
Vairamani\u2019s\u00a0both legs were affected by polio at the age of 3. He uses modified retrofitted scooter for his mobility for\u00a0going to his\u00a0office\u00a0and outside\u00a0from his residence and uses a\u00a0 special wheel chair for his mobility in the work place and at home.\u00a0
He is a\u00a0differently abled activist and a very good Social worker, serving for the cause of the differently abled persons for more than 25 years.\u00a0 He has helped several hundreds of differently abled people throughout TamilNadu\u00a0to get their required assistive devices and providing them with\u00a0necessary\u00a0assistance. Disability is not a barrier to him\u00a0in\u00a0helping others. He has received Udavikkaram award, Sevarathna award and\u00a0 Achiever award from various organizations\u00a0 applauding\u00a0 the\u00a0 services rendered by him to the disabled.\u00a0 He has also been conferred with Honorary Doctorate in Social Work, by the World Tamil Classical University.\u00a0
TNEB Engineer’s\u00a0 Velmurugan, Narasimhan, Sreedhar, Balamurugan and TNUAWDA State President Varadakutti, State Genl. Secy., K.Gopinath, Treasurer Nandakumar and many other dignitaries from TNEB and TNUAWDA\u00a0 participated in the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
