A Team of  Athletes of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus participated in the State Level Athletic Meet-2022 (Boys and Girls) and clinched 6 Gold medals  and a Silver medal held in  District Sports Stadium, Thiruvarur, April 4.
Prajin, Std. 5 won the Gold medals  in long jump and 60 mts, Koushik, Std. 6 won the Gold medal  (200 mts), Gishen, Std. 8 bagged the Gold ( 1500 mts), Deepak Kannaa, Std.8- clinched the Gold ( 200 mts), Yuvaraj, Std. 10 won the Gold (200 mts) and Dharshan, Std.8  won Silver (1500 mts)  for the track race in their respective age group category.
This state level event was organised by the Thiruvasaladi Pillaiyar Sri Maha Ganapati Arakatallai & Thiruvallur District Athletic Association, wherein participants from several districts across Tamilnadu participated.
