The Department of Posts has reorganized the delivery jurisdiction of few areas from Alwarthirunagar Post office to Virugambakkam Post office for quick and prompt delivery of letters w.e.f 22.11.2021. In order to ensure quick and prompt delivery of postal articles(speed post/ registered post/ordinary post/money orders), the following reorganisation of delivery jurisdiction is ordered w.e.f Nov. 22.
The delivery areas of Indira Nagar 1st St to 5th Street, Indira Nagar 1st Cross St to 5th Cross Street and Indira Nagar  1st West street to 3rd West Street are now delivery work presently attended by Alwarthirunagar – 600087. Now these areas of delivery work transferred to Virugambakkam, Pincode-  600092.
The residents of the above mentioned areas are requested to use Pincode-600092 henceforth for communication purposes for quick and prompt delivery of articles, a press release said
